Hit the Road at Home

Going away for February vacation? Sorry about that.  Those of us staying here will have some happy campers. This winter break is filled with some big time fun right here in the hood.

THRILL SEEKERS

• Petra Cliffs - Did you say your kid needs activity all day long? Send 'em for the day or the whole week.  They are going to do it all; rock climbing, playing in the snow, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and swimming. 
• Talent Skatepark - Tony Hawk in your house?  Let him loose in their house. They can shred, ollie, grind and get all that energy out.  Again, send them for just one day or for the whole week.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURERS

• Gotta get outside? Try a one day vacation program at the Audubon Center in Hinesburg: Winter Survival Skills, Winter Tracking Exploration or Snow Day.
• Nature and the environment spark your child's mind? Check out the one day adventures at the North Branch Nature Center in Montpelier like Winter Botany or Simply Snow.

CREATIVE CREATURES

• Davis Studio - Week long camps for budding artists to paint canvases at the Art Extravaganza or drama queens can join the act at the Cinderella Theater.

WINTER ATHLETES

• Leddy Park - Little skaters can spend the morning gliding across the ice learning to spiral, spin and jump.
• Learn-to-ski with Cochran's 4-day lesson pack for tots and big kids. You will get your money's worth. These are value priced at $145 and $125 respectively and that includes the full day lift ticket!
