On Your Mark. Get Set. Go!
Savvy Moms knows aside from eating three healthy meals a day and getting 10-12 hours of sleep a night (yeah right!), the most important thing for children is exercising their bodies. It is never too early to encourage the love of physical fitness. There is no better way then to start 'em working out young, even it is with a little help from Mom or Dad. Vermont is teeming with ways to get fit with your little ones.

Itty Bitty Public Skating @ Leddy Park (ages 1-6)
It is time conquer the ice once and for all. Get on the rink with your tyke and slip slide around. Pull them along in a plastic sled or park them in their stroller right there on the ice.

Story Walk @ Shelburne Farms
Walking and reading, what a novel concept?! Hike Lone Tree Hill Trail behind the Farm Barn and read a story as you go. You will find one page of the book posted at a time along the trail.
Red Rocks Park
"My kids and I are always looking for great hikes this time of year. The trouble is finding trails this time of year that are not too muddy! The trails at Red Rocks park are amazing. The scenery is beautiful and the trails are wide enough and smooth enough for a jogger stroller."
Mt. Philo
"Mt. Philo State Park is great when you're looking for an easy day hike with the kids (4+ could walk it). We even walked up it with our newborn in a stroller (thanks to the road to the top)...more"
