Uncharted Territory
Eating Out with Kids Can be Fun!
We all know that navigating your way through a meal at a restaurant with kids can be tough. But at Tilley's Cafe in downtown Burlington, they will welcome you and your crew with open arms! Not only will your kids eat well but they will be entertained so that you can enjoy a grown-up meal too.
Pulling into the Dock
Embark on this adventure knowing that once you are seated at the table, you will be provided with more then just crayons and an activity book. Your kids will also get mini etch-a-sketches and stories from the Tilley Goes to Sea Series. "Tilley" is the owner's golden retriever whose name comes from the tiller used to steer a boat. And if youngsters can't keep an even keel, that's okay. They are welcome to get up and look for "Nemo and Dora" in the Big Fish tanks or head to the play boat area.
The Tilley's value priced kid's menu ($6 each) has many healthy choices that will not only please Mom and Dad and but kids will love it too. It is filled with lots of non-fried alternatives including mini sliders, mac & cheese and grilled chicken breast. And there is no bitter end here, finish off the meal with a volcano sundae!
First Class
It is hard to fathom a restaurant more willing to accommodate families. Take advantage of their FREE valet parking Thursday - Saturday nights before heading to the Flynn Theater. Show your ticket and receive 10% off. And no worries if you have food allergies, their main menu is filled with many vegetarian choices and is 80% gluten free.
If you are still weary of dining out with tiny tikes go sample the new Tapas menu ($5 each) on Tuesday - Friday nights from 5:00 - 7:00. Kids can still enjoy eating off the Kids Menu during that time.
Chart your course, just south of Main Street, for your next tasty family-friendly meal!
